This seventeen-year-old scientist is an entrepreneur from Kinsale in Ireland. On the last three years, she has won the BT Young Scientist, the EU Young Scientist and the Google Science Fair with her teammates Emer and Sophie in their research on the work of rhizobium with cereal crops. In September of 2014 Time Magazine named Ciara as being one of the 25 most influential teens worldwide. I was also name by thejournal.ie on their 20 under 20 to watch for 2015, and Huffington Post such as one of the Most Fearless Teens of 2014.
Ciara Judge, an entrepreneur inspiration
At the present time, she is coordinator of her first company, Germinaid Innovations, an initiative she took with one of her best friend Emer. She has also created a company called PurchaseMate with a group of persons she met in MIT when she took some studies last summer. According to herself, one of her most recent and moving projects where she has been working on is Project Zilkr, an online platform designed for young people just like her who want to become entrepreneurs. Her motto attitude is ’If I can do it, anyone can!’
In this platform called Project Zilkr she seeks to provide an online structured program able to inspire young entrepreneurs. Ciara’s entrepreneurial achievements, along with her philanthropic hard work with the Chernobyl Children’s Project, were recently acknowledged at the 2015 Irish Tattler National Woman of the Year Awards.
Ciara is also an internationally accomplished speaker, having spoken at events including the Digital Ireland Forum 2014, Dublin; the EU Innovation Convention 2014, Brussels, We Day UK 2015, Thought for Food Summit 2015, Lisbon; Wembley Arena, London; The Web Summit 2015, Dublin; TedxTeen 2016, London, among others.
