Being the daughter of Academy Award Jon Voight, is no surprise that Jolie became involved with the industry from a very young age. At the age of 16 she appeared in Meatloaf and Lenny Kravitz music videos, plus she also worked as model from time to time.

Although she played a small part in the early 80s (Lookin’to get out), the official debut of Angelina in film came in 1993 with Cyborg 2: Glass Shadow. After that she began starring in her own films, but it was not until her big role as the super model Gia Carangi at the TV production GIA where her career took a giant step. Her excellent and unforgettable performance earned her the Golden Globe.

As I said before, she had been working at the industry for quite some time but the film that made her the center of attention was Girl Interrupted in 1999. Angelina was not the leading actress in this film but she got all the attention due to her magnificent performance. The film received mixed reviews and was not a blockbuster, but Angelina got away with three major awards: Golden Globe, Saturn Award and Academy Award for Best Actress.

In 2001 playing the video game heroine Lara Croft will change Angelina’s life forever. Part of the filming process took place in Cambodia, where the actress became aware of hunger and poverty of its inhabitants. It was then when Jolie will become involve in various charity projects and she has not stopped ever since that day. She was appointed Ambassador Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Units.

In 2005, while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith Angelina got involved with her co-star Brad Pitt, he was married to Jennifer Aniston back then and Jolie did not want to interfere, but the actor ended up separating from his wife.

A few months after the official break up between Aniston and Pitt, Angelina and Brad started dating becoming one of the world’s most popular couples. They got married years later in 2012 and they have 6 kids, 3 adopted ones and 3 biological ones.
