Beyoncé Knowles and her undying success

Born in Houston, Texas in 1981. Beyoncé is the daughter of clothes designer Tina Knowles and Matthew Knowles, a seller of neurosurgical instruments. From her early years Beyoncé proved to be a creative and restless child. She began singing at age four.

With just nine years old she decided to put together her first band. After several embryonic formations with several friends in the neighborhood that did not bear fruit, his father, Matthew, convinced her to keep going and so Destiny’s Child was born. Along with Beyoncé, the group was formed with her cousin Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Robertson.

The female quartet performed in Houston clubs until they signed with Columbia Records in 1997. Beyoncé has told that her father became their manager when they were eleven and twelve years old, and they were always looking to perform. Beyoncé’s mom was in charge of costumes and hairstyles of each band member.

The single No, No, No will introduced them with force in the music industry. This success was quickly followed by the publication in 1999 of writing’s on the wall, with three hits in the Top 10: Jumpin, Jumpin; Bills, Bills, Bills, and Say my name, for which they won the Grammy for best R & B song and best R & B performance by a duo or group. A series of internal problems caused the Destiny’s Child formation to change until it finally became a trio. At some point, the group members decided to pursue solo projects.

In 2003 Beyoncé released Dangerously in Love, she worked as a composer, singer, producer. Dangerously in love was number 1 and 11 million copies worldwide, plus she won five Grammys in 2004.

Alongside her music career, Beyoncé has worked in the movie industry: Austin Powers and Dreamgirls are her most famous works. Beyoncé is one of the most successful artist from this decade, she has worked as a model plus having her own perfume and clothing line.
