In addition to his good looks, Jared Leto is an outstanding artist: besides acting, he is a remarkable musician, filmmaker, photographer and humanitarian activist. Known for her projects relating to the eradication of poverty in Haiti, Leto has spoken out many times about several situations in the world, including the current political violence in Ukraine and Venezuela, he said: to all the dreamers of the world who are watching this tonight, in places like Ukraine and Venezuela, I want to say: we are here. Multitalented Jared Leto
Jared was born in Bossier City (USA) in 1971, before moving to Los Angeles in 1992 he took painting studies at the University of Philadelphia and acting classes at the School of Visual Arts. It was in the 90’s that his career began to take shape, he played parts in various projects including a part in the movies Fight Club and Girl, Interrupted. You might also remember him from American Pasycho and the drug addiction cult film called Requiem for a Dream (2000).
After that he decided to focus on his band 30 Seconds to Mars, (founded in 1998 with his brother Shannon) Tomo Milicevic will join them later. Jared does vocals, guitar, bass and keyboard. By 2005, the group launched its second album, “A Beautiful Life” with great critical acclaim and sales. The band has sold 10 million albums worldwide.
After playing the role of Rayon (a feminine and flirtatious transsexual whose characterization had already earned him numerous awards) in the movie Dallas Buyers Club, Leto won an Oscar for best supporting actor. He dedicated the award to his mother and to the 36 million people who lost their battle against AIDS, which is a present theme in the movie.
